Sweet Child of Mine....

a little bit bohemian....

a little bit rock 'n roll...

Kids.Home.Life

Who?

Sweet Child of Mine is the creation of myself  - Kendra, a former fashion buyer/retailer/wholesaler and now SAHM! The range we produce and the products we carry have to have input from; and pass the discerning eye of my daughter and her friends.  My son is way less critical but goes much harder on the wear ' n tear.  A little bit bohemian, a little bit Rock 'n Roll and a whole lotta style and comfort.  No itchy/scratchy/tight bits, just super soft easy wearing garments that your kids will love to wear and look beautiful in.

What?

An online store showcasing our own Brand as well as carefully selected items from around the globe which we will add to in the coming months.  For our own ranges we source our textiles from various sources...International suppliers, fabric markets, and even mountain villages.  We have begun collaborating with Artists, Designers and Skateboarders to produce our own exclusive fabric and tee shirt prints.  More on this coming soon!

When?

We first started sewing and sampling back in 2008.  Some of these styles certainly stood the test of time as they ended up in the first range in 2012!  It wasn't until the birth of my second child and my first child starting school that I finally stopped procrastinating and took the plunge creating the first seasons range.

Where?

Based on the gorgeous Gold Coast, QLD.  You can find us at The Village Markets on the first and third Sunday of each month.  To be part of TVM at Burleigh Heads is just amazing...trust me, this is a Boutique Market like no other.  Our online store is open 24/7 we are happy to ship worldwide.  All of our own products are handmade either in Indonesia or right here on the GC. Our Indonesian manufacturers are carefully selected for their ethical work policies, high standards of business and support of their local community.

Why?

For all working mums out there I'm sure you don't even need to ask...I am simply trying to find work/life balance and be there for my kids.  It means I'm burning the midnight oil at least 5/7 nights though!  It also allows me to create pieces I am dying to see my kids in. Some of my own most favourite pieces that I have worn to death have been developed into a kids version.  The range I have put together is pretty much a direct reflection of my personal style - narcissistic...just a little!

I hope you love it xoxo
